Spring Couples Session at Cross Estate Gardens – During Cherry Blossom Season

There are few places in New Jersey as charming and romantic as Cross Estate Gardens in Bernardsville —especially in the spring. With lush greenery, historic stone structures, and carefully curated garden paths, it’s a favorite spot for photographers and couples alike. Just a short drive from Morristown, it feels like a hidden oasis that bursts into life as the seasons change.

This particular session was extra special because it was the prize from a Valentine’s Day giveaway I hosted back in February. Couples entered to win a free one-hour session, and the winners were nothing short of perfect for a sunny spring shoot.

We met at the gardens in early spring, and nature delivered beyond expectations. As we wandered the grounds, we came across a stunning cherry blossom tree in full bloom—a magical and fleeting moment that we couldn’t have planned better. The soft pink petals created the most romantic backdrop, perfectly complementing the couple’s warm-toned wardrobe and joyful energy.
